Return of the rainbow Apple? 🌈

I’m mixing it up a bit today — I wanted to share a fun rumor.

MacRumors reports that, per a tipster they trust, Apple may be reintroducing its classic rainbow logo on some new products as early as this year. That’s this logo:

I think this could be cool, but I’m not sure how or where the classic logo would make sense. It feels like it wouldn’t look good on the back of an iPhone or a Mac. Maybe it will be something that will show up on accessories, like iPhone cases or Apple Watch bands?

I was curious about the history of the Apple logo and I found one on Quora that’s worth reading. Apparently, the rainbow apple came after this original logo:

Let’s just be glad that’s not the logo that might be coming back this year.

I’ll leave you with a photo of Drake at an Apple event wearing a vintage jacket with the old logo (apparently, this is a jacket that was given to Apple employees at one point). Maybe Apple will just be reselling this at some point in the next year or two.
